The first-ever Campus Landscape Master Plan (CLMP) ensures our treasured landscape will thrive for many years. The CLMP will shape the vision of a future outdoor environment to protect natural heritage, strengthen ecosystems, enhance shared experiences and learning opportunities, and provide a welcoming experience for students, faculty, staff, alumni, community members and guests.
Altgeld Hall renovations
With support from the State of Illinois Rebuild Illinois Capital program, Altgeld Hall, a historical campus landmark, will be rejuvenated with extensive repairs to the stone veneer and bell tower, as well as interior renovations, and will receive new accessibility features. The renovations will provide students and faculty with modern collaborative spaces that are essential for learning and discovery in the 21st century. The Illinois Geometry Lab and the Illinois Risk Lab will have new homes in the building, in addition to new tutoring spaces and classrooms.
